Pavement Surfacing Project Underway in Pasco

Jeff Enera, an employee of Stripe Rite in Sumner, drives a specialized, self-contained paint and striping removal truck recently over the center line in the 900 block West Sylvester Street in Pasco. The equipment uses high-pressure water from rotating nozzles and a vacuum system to remove street markings, leaving virtually nothing behind on the pavement. The work is part of a $365,000 micro-surfacing project being done by the city. Motorists can expect periodic lane closures and traffic revisions between Third and 28th avenues during the project. The pavement surfacing process is expected to start this week.
