What do doughnuts, breakfast burritos, a barbeque, and Starbucks gift cards have in common? They each had a part in showing the construction workers at Stripe Rite that we acknowledge everything they do.
September 14-18 was National Construction Workers Appreciation week and every branch stepped up and showed our crews that the work they do in the construction season is greatly appreciated. Crack sealing, seal coating, sign installation and striping in the various environments of Washington is no easy task some days, but somehow, they always come through in the end.
Each branch had control of how they wanted to show their gratitude for their teams. Our corporate office in Sumner decided to bring in doughnuts for their crew along with giving them an “EXTRA” shout out. Down in Yakima they hosted a barbeque meal for the construction crew, sign shop and traffic control employees. Kennewick also provided their crew with doughnuts during the week. Meanwhile Bremerton, gave their employees Starbucks gift cards and some tasty homemade pumpkin chocolate chip bread made from the Office Administrator, Brooke. Our Spokane branch brought in some hearty breakfast burritos that were a huge hit on that early morning start and gave an additional show of appreciativeness with punny treats throughout the week.
Our Punny Appreciation Included:
• Sunflower seeds because “You’re Seed-sational!”
• EXTRA gum as “Thanks for going the EXTRA mile.”
• Mints that “Thank you for your commit-Mint to Stripe Rite.”
• Starbursts because “You’re a Star at Stripe Rite! Thanks for all you do!”
Stripe Rite has become Washington State’s leading pavement marking company. We could not have gotten where we are today if it were not for the tireless efforts of all the men and women in our construction crews, traffic control, sign shops and office employees. Thank you for everything you have done to help keep Stripe Rite at the top.
